If you’re a fan of onion rings then you’ll love these chips. They are distinctively onion-y in flavour. Super crisp and light to eat. BBQ is my second favourite flavour after Salt & pepper.
I think it had a authentic taste.
True to its name but not all of the chips are crispy which bothered me but 4/5 because out of all the flavors this one is my 2nd favorite.

As a nutrition and wellness coach, I am always looking for healthier alternatives for snack food for those clients who simply can’t give up unhealthy snacks such as potato chips. This is a gluten and diary free product that is suitable for vegans and much lower in salt than the traditional potato chip. I love that it uses non-GMO oils though would prefer that it use a healthier oil such as olive oil instead of canola oil. I think something needs to be done about the moisture sachet as it is the same size as the actual chips and easily eaten by mistake when not paying attention. I also don’t see the need for some ingredients such as maltodextrin and silicone dioxide in this product.
It’s very crunchy and tasted just like potato chips but the onion flavour can be somewhat quite strong and it lingers in your mouth for quite some time. I prefer to pair it with salads or use it as toppings for my dishes.
I had a hard time trying to decide how many stars to give the Onion Chips. Hands down, they are a very tasty and unique snack. A bit pricey, but I could even overlook that because they are so good. But the one drawback I cannot overlook is that the next day, I had pretty significant onion breath and a very distinct onion aura wafting from my body. I was glad I didn’t have to be around people the next day! Very good snack but, unfortunately, the onion after effects will keep me from purchasing again.
These chips have a great crunch and the onion flavour mixed with a spicy bbq flavour are definatly present but I found that they also have a bit of a burnt flavour that leaves quite a bitter taste in your mouth, I did not finish the pack. I will not purchase this item again but I do regularly buy other Dang Foods products.
