Jarro-Dophilus EPS is a Stable-Dophilus probiotic due to its shelf life stability at room temperature and its enteric coating delivery system, which protects the beneficial probiotic strains while in transit through the stomach’s acidic environment. The delivery system ensures that a maximum number of viable cells are delivered into the intestinal tract, where they can fully exert their beneficial effects. The strains in Jarro-Dophilus EPS are selected from the following 4 genera:

Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Lactococcus and Pediococcus.

Probiotic strains such as B. longum BB536, L-rhamnosus R0011 and L. helveticus R0052 are well characterized and have been shown to have the ability to interact, via multiple mechanisms of action, with the intestinal tract and the microbial ecosystem within it. These strains have been clinically shown to have a positive influence on the composition of the intestinal microflora, promote intestinal health and support immune response.

Suggested Use

Take 1 capsule up to 4 times per day with water or juice, preferably on an empty stomach, or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.

Potato starch, magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and vitamin C. Vegetarian capsule consists of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and an aqueous-based enteric coating.

Great product.. Attention all candida suffers!! Replenish your body with this product, after a total body cleanse and candida cleanse.. I´ve been using these probiotics to treath ibs symptoms for a few months now, and I’m very happy to say that my symptoms have disappeared completely, I never thought this could be possible.
Also, since I started using them I haven’t got any yeast infections, which I used to get all the time.

I stopped taking them for 4 months and I the IBS symptoms have not come back.

Great stuff! I would highly recommend it to anyone that has been trying to get over IBS or to reduce its symptoms.

My wife and I take only one capsule per day, right before bedtime. JarroDophilus helps create a stable, predictable digestive process, which I hadn’t had for many years prior to discovering this product. It has become more indispensible than any other vitamin or supplement we take.

I’m not too sure if the shipping exposed my order to higher temperatures but this probiotic does absolutely nothing for me. I usually take probiotics for maintenance, and at the first sign of tummy troubles and generally the problems subside overnight. Not with this product; no effect whatsoever. I find Kodel’s Megadophilus way better and Now foods Gr8-dophilus acceptable. This won’t be in my cart again.

I have used probiotics in the past and they have done nothing. Something strange about this product — it does something, wonderful.
Since I was about 8 years old (50 years ago) I have been suffering from IBS. To me the definition of IBS should read — the doctor can’t figure it out why but you are constipated for days, then you have severe pain and diarrhea, then you are constipated for days, etc. etc. For about the last 10 years I have been suffering from Acid Reflux. I have been diagnosed with pre-barrett’s esophagus. Trying to keep my acid reflux under control involved medication. These medications caused damage to my muscles and nervous system. My Osteopathic Doctor suggested I give Jarro-Dophilus EPS a try. Well my IBS is better and my acid reflux is better!?! Not perfect, but in only four weeks significantly better. I will update after another month and see if it is still working and/or whether my IBS and Acid Reflux are even better. That is what I am hoping for.

I have struggled with constipation for YEARS, and I got a 10 day sample of another pro-biotic product, which gave me good results, if you know what I mean. So I tried this one from iherb and it is a great product at a great price! It says to take on an empty stomach (1-4 per day) but I have been taking just one at lunchtime, along with my Omega 3 and my women’s multi (which also has some pro-biotics) and I have to say, I haven’t felt this good (digestively speaking…) in years.

i have been using this brand of probiotics for the past few months. prior to this i was using dr. ohhira. when i first started using this brand i figured i could start out at the full four a day dosage since i have been taking good probiotics for years. the problems that i had for a good two months or so was gas and bloating. even when i lowered the dose to see if that would help anything. i don’t know. i can’t honestly say that this is a great probitotic. it probably does the job, but i can’t tell a difference. i ordered it based on price. i couldn’t afford dr. ohhira that month (i order two to four months at a time) so i tried this. i’m going to switch back to dr. ohhira for a few months and then see if it makes much of a difference.

Feeling much better after starting to take two every morning before breakfast — really appreciate a formula that doesn’t need refrigeration because I can travel with it — packaging is a bit inconvenient, but it’s worth it

I have received the “Jarrow Formulas, Jarro-Dophilus EPS, 120 Capsules. However, the capsules mostly are opened up. Some of the capsules has even dropped in the carton boxes. I have send the photos to iherb but till now there is no responses at all.

Never thought much of probiotics until a young doctor told me ( I am in my early 60s) to try it to combat my acid stomach.
Rarely a week would go by that I did not take Zantac once or twice to calm my stomach down.
Immediately after taking this product ..only 1 capsule in the morning .. I noticed that no further acidity either at night or early upon awakening in my stomach. I am not kidding here. I can’t stop singing the praises of this product only now when I finish these i’m going to the Ultra one… who knows maybe it can get even better. I’m just thankfully free of pain I’ve had since childhood

If you have noticed some problems with digestion and bowel functions after eating like I have, this is a perfect product to fix those issues! Our local hospital analysed a selection of probiotics selected from local stores. Amazingly 2 of them had absolutely no living probiotics in them and ALL of the rest of them had extremely small %’s of probiotics: instead of 16Billion, only 70 million! None of the companies had anywhere ne4ar the advertised potency.We have taken this for a couple of weeks and have not noticed any revolution. The absolute minimum necessary, to give any noticable effect is, according to public TV, 15 Billion, so if you take 4 per day it gets rather expensive: 30 days per bottle. It is a matter of faith I guess. Hope it is keeping us healthy.

The blister-packs are very convenient for taking along with you. And the fact that they are gluten-free is good.

I first bought these for my daughter, who’d had a sudden flare-up of asthma attacks, after about 7 years of not having any. She’d been on antibiotics of one type of another for about a month…happened to read about antibiotics/asthma…she improved almost immediately after taking the probiotics.

My candida used to be unbearably painful & I had to really watch my consumption of sweets but after taking these probiotics for the past few years, I eat whatever I want without much trouble. The candida is still there but the persistent vaginal yeast infections stopped a very long time ago. I have tried other probiotics & this is the best I have found to date. When I run out, I start to feel sick again.

Took 2 weeks by taking 3 pills a day to see result – morn, noon and bedtime. I am very pleased that my silent reflux is cure by taking this, no more nausea in the morning! My stool during the first week was kinda of soft with many black spots (suspected might be cleaning the colon) and during 2nd week…my stool was firm but not hard stool and no more ibs-d! My friend with a lot of allergies, food sensitivities, and digestive challenges swears she can eat a lot of things she couldn’t eat before. So I tried it and I am now recommending it to my friends. I stopped taking my Absorb-Aid capsules after every meal. All I need to take is my Jarro-Dophilus EPS in the morning and at bed time.

Seeing how you can spend $1.00-2.00 on a drink that has 1 billion Organisms per bottle, it just makes sense to use a capsule that has 5 billion Organisms, for less than 25 cents each.

I have celiac disease and have frequent stomach pain. I feel so much better after I started using this product. A friend recommended them and they really help. I love the fact that this product is enteric-coated, and does not require refrigeration. Also, according to Consumer Lab testing, it was one of the few probiotics tested that actually contained the number of organisms claimed on the label. The Jarro 120 Veggie Caps are a great supplement to anyone who has a problem with a high Bad Bacteria count in their system. I would highly recommend it as a regular dietary supplement without any adverse side affects.

This product works! If you want to look after your gut, get this product. I take a lot of supplements but I have to say this is the most important one. If your digestion is good, everything else works better.

I take 3 to 4 caps 3x a day with symptoms of bloating, indigestion.I know it works because it always produces gas.This to me is as good a product as dr. ohirra’s , but cheaper. With dr. ohirra’s i have to take 5 caps to get same results.

I’ve only tried 2 probiotics; this one and a Now foods one. The Now foods one was fine, I thought, until I forgot it out of the fridge for a few hours. Then it was useless and I said ‘never again’. Room stabilized is the way to go for me, and this one I find excellent.

I tried this brand and it did nothing for me. Then I tried Dr. Ohhira’s and felt the difference on the first day. Dr. Ohhira’s is expensive but it works
well for me and all my friends. This is my 3rd months on Dr. Ohhira’s, my IBS is completely gone and no more reflux and gas.

I have IBS-D since a couple of years and I definitely thing that a GOOD probiotic supplement will make the difference. Unfortunately, despite all the advertisements and positive studies, Jarro-Dophilus EPS failed to give any improvements of my IBS. (I even took 4 at once for a couple of days without any result.) Hence it was a total waste of money!

I’ve tried many different forms of lactobacillus and this is the only one that makes absolutely NO difference.

I’ve been cutting back on dairy for a few months, since it is not good for allergy, mucus, sinusitis, etc. I tried this and boom, severe itchy eyes that continued for an hour…even with prescription allergy eye-drops…
I’m going to switch over to Healthy Origins since it doesn’t have dairy or soy (which this has). If you suffer from any type of allergies, cut out dairy and gluten, and take a probiotic that does not include irritating ingredients.

I am interested in the probiotic products and their function in the human body. On paper, their role and potential benefits appears are numerous, but in general, they are the type of supplement, from which I rarely notice (positive) difference.
I’ve tried LOADS of probiotic products with the hope to find one, with which I can say, that I SEE the positive impact on my health.
Several times I received samples from iHerb with this product, but a week or so taking a medium strength probiotic is way too short of a time to see any difference, so I decided to give it a shot and buy the whole thing.
I have to not, that I respect Jarrow Formulas, I use some of their other products and was left with good impression about them.
Unfortunately I didn’t see any results from this one after finishing one container and several blisters of testers.
Maybe the dosage was not enough, maybe I was not taking it long enough, maybe the probiotic strains are not the right kind for me or maybe even it DID good for me, but I just didn’t feel it.
Whatever it is, I don’t plan on purchasing this particular probiotic anymore.
P.S. if you live in the U.S. I strongly recommend you to try out the probiotics, that need to be refrigerated. They are shipped by iHerb in ice packs and the reason I recommend them is, that they have more active cultures, than most of their shelf-stable equivalent and you could and you could expect more fast and noticeable results.
I can’t try them, because I am located far from the U.S.

I have been to the doctor they have done test after test and no relief. I was talking to my cousin one day and she recomended that I try taking this product. I ordered it and with in a week to two weeks I had relieve. I am a big believer in it and have reordered since my first order. I have also told other friends with simalar problems about it and they plan to try it also.

This product is approved by Consumer Lab. I have tried Dr. Ohhira’s probiotics, culturelle, pearls but nothing worked to stop diarrhea caused by IBS. This product has worked perfectly for me. Finally found the product I will use forever . Jarrow, I thank you.
